This course is designed to prepare students for the NISM VI - Depository Operations Exam. The course will cover topics such as the basic functions of a depository, the legal framework of a depository, the operational procedures of a depository, the procedures related to securities transactions, the procedures related to dematerialization and rematerialization, the procedures related to pledge and hypothecation, the procedures related to depository services, the role of the depository participant, the role of the custodian, the role of the issuer, the role of the regulator, and the functions of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). The course will also cover the different types of fees, the various types of depository accounts, and the dispute resolution process. Upon completion of the course, students will have a thorough understanding of the NISM VI - Depository Operations Exam and be prepared to take the exam.
